On August 1-3, the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery at the University of Tampa celebrates the life and more than 40 years of art of comic book legend and industry visionary Bob Layton.
Joining and collaborating with Layton is international artist Ales “Bask” Hostomsky, who will be premiering new works “inspired by Layton’s storied career”, according to the official announcement for the event.
The opening night event will be held Monday, August 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the gallery. Doors will open at 6 and will feature an open bar for drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The gallery will be also be open on August 2-3, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., or by appointment.
